U.S. Coast Guard Rescues Two Men Off Coast of Bimini
The U.S. Coast Guard announced that it had rescued two men off the coast of Bimini, the Bahamas on Tuesday.
Local10.ocm reports that a Coast Guard cutter rescued the men at about 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon after finding them floating on homemade paddleboards about 10 miles west of Bimini.
The victims’ family members notified officials of their disappearance on Friday, leading to the Coast Guard initiating a search on Sunday. Incredibly, the men originally set sail for Key West on March 22.
