Substitute Teacher at Polk County School Charged With Having Sex With Student
Authorities are charging a Lakeland high school substitute teacher with sexual battery after she allegedly engaged in an improper relationship with the student.
Local10.com reports that the 20-year-old woman, Ayanna Davis, allegedly began an illegal sexual relationship with a student in early December, including at least four encounters. Another student reportedly alerted authorities to the situation after finding evidence on Snapchat. Apparently, a group of the school’s football players saw the video.
Local 10 reports that Polk County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Davis and charged her with Sexual Battery by Custodian and Offenses against Students by Authority Figure.
Davis reportedly does not work for Polk County Public schools but rather Kelly Education Service, a staffing agency.
