One of Chavez’s friends reportedly told WSVN that he didn’t know Chavez had gone missing and that others who had sailed on the boat with Chavez were similarly perplexed.
“Joustin must have gone from the front of the ship to the back of the ship, going through the side of a ledge on the boat, and then when he had slipped off,” said Chavez’s friend Victor Camacho.
The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for Chavez as his friends and family hope that they find him alive, safe, and sound.
