Single Vehicle Crash Leaves One Dead and Two Injured in Broward
A single-vehicle crash left one dead and two injured in Broward County on Monday.
Local10.com reports that the crash occurred around midday near the 2200 block of Griffin Road when a blue vehicle struck a pole.
Carey Codd of the Broward Sheriff’s Office says that the vehicle struck the pole and then caught fire. The impact killed one of the vehicle’s occupants, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the vehicle’s victims, a woman in her 20s and a 6-year-old girl, suffered broken bones and burns. Authorities transported the victims to a medical facility for treatment.
Officials are investigating the cause of the crash and are looking into the possibility that speed may have been a factor.
