Pontoon Boat Crushed Under Drawbridge in Jupiter
A drawbridge in Florida crushed a boat last week, in an incident that left the boaters stunned but unharmed.
ABC7Chicago.com reports that the incident occurred in Jupiter, Florida when the pontoon boat was sailing under a drawbridge. As the bridge began to move the boaters realized that they were in danger, causing some of the boaters to jump from the vessel for their own safety.

“I think they were trying to move the boat but the bridge ended up folding on them so they couldn’t move,” recounted witness Gillian Pisciotto.
It is unclear why the boaters were under the section of the bridge where the incident occurred. Apparently, there are signs in the area that indicate that it is only for authorized personnel and that the area is dangerous as there is moving machinery.
