Police Search For Missing Paddle Boarder, Last Seen Off Coast of Fort Lauderdale
Local10.com reports that Fort Lauderdale police are searching for a man who went missing last week as he paddle boarded off the Fort Lauderdale coast.
The missing man, 52-year-old Constantine George Theoharis, was last seen Tuesday morning in the vicinity of the 3000 block of North Atlantic Boulevard. He was captured on surveillance camera heading toward the beach with his paddle board and diving equipment in hand at about 7:30 am. He was not seen or heard from again.
The Local10 report quotes Theoharis’ uncle as saying that he is an “accomplished diver.”
So far police have not found any of the equipment Theoharis took with him into the water, and he reportedly left his identification and wallet behind.
