Personal Watercraft Operator in Critical Condition Following Collision With Boat
A man is in “extremely critical condition” following a maritime collision Monday evening.
WSVN.com reports that the crash occurred in the vicinity of 1000 Venetian Causeway at about 6:10 p.m. Monday when a man riding a personal watercraft collided with a boat.

First responders transported the 30-year-old victim to a local marina, where Miami Rescue Paramedics met the victim. Miami Rescue then transported him to Ryder Trauma Center with a severe head injury.
“The biggest problem we have in South Florida is that you just need the means to pay for a vessel, and off you go. There’s no formal training like there is to drive a vehicle,” said yacht Capt. Ryan Starling.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
