Authorities are investigating a personal watercraft crash near Fort Myers Beach that left two men in need of rescue.
WinkNews.com reports that the crash occurred on Friday night off Fort Myers Beach when the captain of Salty Sam’s Pirate Cruise noticed a personal watercraft collision followed by a man in need of assistance. The man had been riding a personal watercraft when he was unexpectedly involved in the crash.
“When you see an accident out here, despite how big or how small your vessel is, you have to do something to help,” said captain Stephen Sepulveda.
Sepulveda’s boat assisted the man and another nearby vessel helped another man who had been riding on the personal watercraft.
Both men were reportedly safe following the incident.
