Pedestrian Struck and Killed By Tri-Rail In Oakland Park
It has been a deadly year on South Florida train tacks. Following several fatal and non-fatal collisions on Brightline tracks this year, on Wednesday a Tri-Rail train struck and killed a pedestrian.

Local 10.com reports that the train collided with the pedestrian at approximately 10:15 a.m. near a railroad crossing at West Commercial Boulevard.
Officials with Broward County Sheriff’s Office’s homicide and crime scene units are investigating the tragedy.
Officials have not identified the victim, have not given any identifying characteristics about the victim such as gender, and have not yet detailed the circumstances surrounding the collision.
