One Severely Injured In Biscayne Bay Boating Incident
A person was airlifted after being severely injured in a boating incident last week.
WSVN.com reports that the incident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. on Friday in the vicinity of 123rd Street and North Bayshore Drive. Apparently, the boats’ propeller injured the victim, who first responders then transported to a medical facility for treatment.
The report indicates that the 34-year-old victim apparently suffered severe foot injuries, requiring a medical evacuation by helicopter to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
The witnesses interviewed by WSVN about the incident declined to comment on how the victim sustained the injuries.
The report gave no indication as to why the victim was in a position to be injured by the boat’s propeller.
