One Person Dead Following Clay County Boat Crash
A boat crash in Clay County left one person dead Tuesday.
News4Jax.com reports that the collision occurred at about 11:30 a.m. when a 20-foot boat carrying two people struck a boathouse dock. The force of the crash ejected a female passenger from the vessel.

A good Samaritan noticed the woman in the water and dove in to assist her. The good Samaritan pulled the woman to shore and perform CPR but was unable to save the victim.
In a statement, Florida Fish and Wildlife did not say whether the other person who was in the boat at the time of the crash had been injured.
An earlier report by Clay County Fire Rescue indicated that two people were injured in the collision.
