One Dead in Explosive Multi-Car Crash
A serious car crash in SW Miami-Dade has left one person dead.
NBCMiami.com reports that the crash occurred at approximately 9:30 AM on Friday morning, near the intersection of US 1 and Southwest 232nd Street. The crash involved three vehicles and resulted in one of the vehicles being pushed into a light pole and catching fire.
The driver of the car that caught fire died at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not identified the victim.
NBC Miami footage of the crash scene showed the charred remnants of the vehicle that struck the light pole as investigators poured over the crash scene. Florida Highway Patrol says that the crash is under investigation.
