Officials Moving Bus Stop Where Royal Palm Beach Student Was Killed
Authorities are moving a school bus stop in Royal Palm Beach after a child was killed at the bus stop earlier this week.
WPTV.com reports that Principal Michelle Fleming of Royal Palm Beach Community High School announced the change on Thursday. The previous stop was located at Crestwood Boulevard South and Cypress Lake Drive but will now be moved to an as-yet-undetermined location.

The change comes after a student was killed, and three others seriously injured, when a driver lost control and slammed into the teens as they waited at the bus stop.
According to the report, Flemming said that officials are moving the bus stop “out of respect for the victims and families of Tuesday’s devastating vehicle accident, and in an effort to be sensitive to all students utilizing that stop.”
