News: Wrong-way crash on I-95 in NW Miami-Dade kills 1, injures 2
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver going the wrong way was involved in a fatal collision on Interstate 95 late Monday night.
According to WSVN, the incident happened near the exit for Northwest 95th Street in Northwest Miami-Dade at about 11:30 p.m. State troopers said a man driving a Ford SUV was going north in the southbound express lanes of I-95 when the vehicle crashed into another SUV and a pickup truck.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The other two drivers were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
The southbound lanes of I-95 were closed for hours beginning at 103rd Street as the vehicles were towed away and the scene was investigated.
