News: Wrong-way collision in Palm Beach County kills both drivers
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – Two drivers died after their vehicles collided in Palm Beach County on Friday morning, WPLG reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that a 25-year-old Weston man was driving in the wrong direction, going south in the northbound lanes on the shoulder and inside lane of Florida’s Turnpike near Glades Road.
His vehicle then crashed head-on into a northbound vehicle driven by a 43-year-old West Palm Beach man.
Both drivers, whose names were not released, were pronounced dead.
The northbound lanes of the turnpike were shut down between Glades Road and Atlantic Avenue while crews and investigators worked at the crash scene.
