News: Worker killed in fall from condo under construction in West Palm Beach
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Police said a worker was killed in an accident while on the job in West Palm Beach Saturday morning, reports NBC Miami.
The victim was identified as 23-year-old Yamileth Martinez-Ponce from Miami-Dade County. The incident occurred at La Clara Palm Beach, a luxury condominium under construction on S. Flagler Drive.
Authorities said Martinez-Ponce was working for a flooring company and installing flooring in a unit on the 13th floor at about 9 a.m. when she fell from the balcony onto a second floor landing. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by West Palm Beach police.
