News: Woman pleads guilty to DUI charge in fatal Deerfield Beach crash
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – A driver has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a deadly car accident in Deerfield Beach, CBS Miami reports.
The crash happened in March 2019 on Hillsboro Boulevard. Authorities said Andrea Schneider of Boca Raton was driving a Dodge Viper when she crossed the median and struck another vehicle head-on. Two people in the other vehicle were killed, 61-year-old Robyn Underwood and her 17-year-old granddaughter.
Investigators said Schneider, now 24, was driving under the influence at the time, and in court on Tuesday she pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
Schneider faces four years to life in prison when she is sentenced this summer.
