News: Woman seriously injured in Boynton Beach hit-and-run crash
BOYNTON BEACH, FL – Police said a woman was injured when she was struck in Boynton Beach Saturday night by a hit-and-run driver.
The Palm Beach Post reports the incident occurred as the woman was walking across the 1000 block of North Seacrest Boulevard from west to east at about 9 p.m.
Witnesses said she was struck by a Nissan Altima and thrown about 36 feet. The 51-year-old victim was seriously injured and hospitalized. Police are now searching for the driver, who kept going north on North Seacrest Boulevard after the crash.
The vehicle sought was described as a newer model gray Nissan Altima with heavy front-end damage to the passenger side. Police said the damage may be visible on the right bumper hood, windshield and roof of the car.
