News: Woman dies after multi-vehicle accident near Boynton Beach
BOYNTON BEACH, FL – An accident at an intersection near Boynton Beach Saturday afternoon left an elderly woman dead, according to WPEC.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash at the intersection of Verona Lakes Boulevard and Lyons Road at about 3 p.m.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said 74-year-old Bruce Cigale of Delray Beach was driving a Ford Escape on Lyons Road when he made a left turn into the path of a Lexus RC300, and the impact of the collision caused both cars to spin out. The Escape then struck the driver’s side of a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
A passenger in the Escape, 75-year-old Lynne Cigale of Delray Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bruce Cigale was taken to Delray Medical Center in critical condition.
The Lexus driver, 26-year-old Jovan Williams of Lake Worth Beach, sustained minor injuries. The driver of the pickup, 71-year-old Michael Angotti of Lake Worth Beach and his passenger were not injured.
