News: Woman dies after car crashes into tree in Port St. Lucie
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – Police say a woman died after her car crashed in Port St. Lucie early Tuesday morning.
According to TC Palm, the victim was identified as 28-year-old Brandy Wells. She was driving a Nissan Versa in the 9300 block of U.S. 1 when the incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Traffic homicide investigators determined that Wells was driving south when she struck a center median, then hit a street sign and crashed into a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the car at the time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Any witnesses were asked to contact the Port St. Lucie Police Department.
