News: Woman arrested for Port St. Lucie hit-and-run that injured bicyclist
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – Police in Port St. Lucie have arrested a suspect in a crash that injured a bicyclist, WPEC reports.
Investigators said a 24-year-old man was riding a bicycle on SW Trenton Lane while headed home from work when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver involved left the scene, but witnesses followed her to her Port St. Lucie home.
Police say the suspected driver, 50-year-old Marie Morris, was placed under arrest for the hit-and-run incident.
The bicycle rider was seriously injured, but the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
