News: West Palm Beach hit-and-run leaves pedestrian critically injured
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in West Palm Beach, reports WPTV.
The incident occurred Monday night in the vicinity of Australian Avenue and 13th Street. The victim, 59-year-old Raymond Alexander, was hit by a vehicle as he walked across Australian Avenue at about 8 p.m. The driver kept going after the crash without stopping to help.
Alexander was hospitalized in a medically induced coma, according to family members.
No description has been issued yet of the vehicle sought in the case as police continue their search for the driver. Anyone with information regarding the incident was asked to contact West Palm Beach police.
