News: Toddler fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in NW Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Authorities said a toddler died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in northwest Miami-Dade Wednesday night.
WPLG reports the 2-year-old boy was crossing the street with his parents in the area of Northwest 10th Avenue and Northwest 116th Terrace at about 9:38 p.m. The family was struck by a vehicle that was traveling north on Northwest 10th Avenue. The driver left the scene after the crash, Miami-Dade police said.
The child was pronounced dead after being taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His parents, both age 40, were listed in stable condition at the same hospital.
So far police do not have a description of the vehicle they are looking for. Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
