News: Teenage driver facing charges in fatal Palm Beach County crash
WELLINGTON, FL – A teenage driver is facing charges in connection with a fatal crash in Palm Beach County last month, according to WPTV.
The 17-year-old Belle Glade resident was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of vehicular homicide over the July 6 incident at Forest Hill Boulevard and Guilford Way in Wellington.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the teen was driving a Chevrolet Malibu and was racing a BMW when the Malibu struck a Kia Soul. The driver and a passenger in the Soul died in the wreck.
Investigators said the Malibu and the BMW were both seen on surveillance video speeding before the collision.
The 17-year-old driver appeared Wednesday before a judge, who set bail for her at $20,000.
