News: Teenage driver dies after Pompano Beach motorcycle accident
POMPANO BEACH, FL – The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said an 18-year-old rider was killed in a motorcycle accident in Pompano Beach last week.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said Justin Frye of Pompano Beach was driving a Kawasaki Ninja 650 on Thursday when he struck a raised concrete shoulder near the 1500 block of West Copans Road just before 5 p.m.
Frye was ejected from the bike, and emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash, and said speed does not appear to have been a contributing factor.
