News: Speeding driver killed when car hits tree in Lauderhill, police say
LAUDERHILL, FL – Police said a driver died following a car accident in Lauderhill Sunday, according to WSVN.
An investigation by Lauderhill police determined that the driver was going west in the 4000 block of Northwest 19th Street at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead later at Broward Health Medical Center. His identity has not yet been released. A passenger was also hospitalized but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are continuing to investigate the fatal wreck.
