News: Scooter rider killed in collision with car in Dania Beach
DANIA BEACH, FL – The Broward Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating an accident that killed a motor scooter rider in Dania Beach on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred on Southwest Fourth Avenue at about 3:16 a.m., the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
According to investigators, the driver of a Toyota Camry sedan was headed south while the driver of a Zhejiang Riya motor scooter was traveling north and the vehicles collided. The scooter rider was pronounced dead at the scene. He was an adult male whose name was not released.
BSO Dania Beach District deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to the accident scene. The BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit is looking into the cause of the crash.
