BROWARD COUNTY, FL – A car accident in Broward County Tuesday morning claimed the life of a teenage driver, NBC Miami reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 17-year-old male was driving a Ford Excursion on U.S. 27 near Interstate 75 when the incident occurred at about 5:30 a.m.
Investigators said the teen lost control of the vehicle and when he tried to overcorrect, the car flipped multiple times. The driver, an Okeechobee County resident, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
