News: Rescuers at scene in Plantation after car crashes into canal
PLANTATION, FL – Rescue teams were at the scene of a crash in Plantation Thursday morning after a car plunged into a canal.
According to WSVN, the incident happened at the intersection of Broward Boulevard and Hiatus Road. The vehicle rolled into the water after the driver, who was fishing in the area at about 7 a.m., reportedly forgot to put it into park.
Dive teams from Plantation Fire Rescue went into the water to try and remove the car. It was not yet clear whether anyone was in the vehicle at the time and so far no injuries have been reported.
