News: Police searching for driver who fled scene after hitting bicyclist in Homestead
HOMESTEAD, FL – Police in Homestead are trying to find the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash, according to NBC Miami.
On Tuesday investigators released surveillance video of the incident, which occurred Sept. 4 at about 7:15 p.m.
According to police, a bicyclist was riding south on North Krome Avenue and entered the travel lane, where the rider was struck by a dark-colored Ford F-150 pickup truck. The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver of the pickup fled the scene following the crash. Anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run was asked to contact Homestead Police.
