News: Police investigating deadly vehicle crash in SW Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – One person died and three others were hospitalized after their minivan crashed in Southwest Miami-Dade Sunday.
WPLG reports the vehicle went over a canal in the Princeton area before landing on its side on Southwest 238th Street near the Florida Turnpike at about 5 p.m.
Surveillance video captured the vehicle, driven by a 45-year-old woman, with one of its rear doors open as it went through a neighborhood prior to the fatal incident.
A 22-year-old man who was a passenger in the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and two passengers, ages 18 and 3, were transported to an area trauma center but no details were released on their condition.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
