News: Person standing next to disabled vehicle on I-95 fatally struck by car
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman died after being hit by a car on Interstate 95 Thursday night.
According to WPEC, the incident took place on I-95 north in Palm Beach County, near Atlantic Avenue.
State troopers said a car had crashed in the right travel lane and a woman was standing near the disabled vehicle in the outside emergency lane. When another driver heading north swerved to avoid the car, their vehicle struck the woman.
The victim, a Lake Worth resident, suffered fatal injuries. Her name was not released.
