News: Person hit, killed by Brightline train in Lake Worth Beach
LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL – An investigation is underway after a person was struck and killed by a train in Palm Beach County Tuesday morning.
According to WPEC, a pedestrian was walking east across the tracks near 10th Avenue in Lake Worth Beach and was hit by a Brightline train just before 8 a.m.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the crash. 10th Avenue N. was shut down between North G Street and North F Street following the incident.
It was reported to be the third time a person had been killed in an accident with a train in Palm Beach County this week, following similar incidents in Boynton Beach and Delray Beach.
