News: Person dies while assisting with rescue attempt after boat capsizes in Palm Beach Inlet
RIVIERA BEACH, FL – A person died while involved in rescue efforts during a boat accident in Palm Beach County Saturday, WPBF reported.
The U.S. Coast Guard along with state and local authorities responded to the scene after a boat capsized on the south side of a jetty in the Palm Beach Inlet.
A good Samaritan who was part of the rescue attempt was reported to have died, though no details were released on the circumstances of the death.
Three adults and nine children were pulled from the water after the incident. They were transported to the Sailfish Marina for evaluation, and all were said to be in good health.
The incident is under investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
