News: Pedestrian struck and killed by pickup truck in Deerfield Beach
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – The Broward County Sheriff’s Office reports it is investigating a fatal accident in Deerfield Beach last week in which a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck.
Deputies responded to the scene in the 1600 block of Northwest 49th Court on Thursday at about 10 a.m. Investigators determined that 32-year-old Gregory Dunn was driving a Ford F-250 when he hit the pedestrian, who was walking in the dedicated bicycle lane at the time.
Dunn’s vehicle then slid across the eastbound lanes and struck a median. Rescue crews rushed the pedestrian to Broward Health North, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not released.
Dunn remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
