News: Pedestrian hit by car while walking on I-95 in North Miami
NORTH MIAMI, FL – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Interstate 95 Sunday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to WPLG, the incident occurred on I-95 south near Northwest 135th Street in North Miami.
The FHP said a person walking in the express lanes of the interstate for an unknown reason was hit by a gray Honda and was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was not released.
The driver involved was not injured, and stayed at the scene.
State troopers are investigating the crash, which shut down the I-95 express lanes in the area.
