News: Pedestrian dies after being struck by car on I-95 in NW Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in northwest Miami-Dade County early Sunday morning, reports WPLG.
The incident occurred on Interstate 95 near State Road at the Golden Glades Interchange.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a person was trying to walk across the southbound lanes of I-95 at about 3:30 a.m. when they were struck by a southbound gray Honda Accord that was traveling in the center lane.
The victim, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
I-95 was shut down in the area for several hours while the scene was being cleared, causing major traffic delays.
