News: NW Miami-Dade crash leaves 2 dead, pregnant woman and 5 children injured
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A head-on crash in northwest Miami-Dade County Thursday night left two people dead and six others injured, according to WPLG.
The accident happened in the area of Northwest 10th Avenue and Northwest 79th Street shortly before midnight.
Witnesses said the driver of an Infiniti was going east on NW 79th Street, then crossed over into the opposite lanes into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Chevy SUV.
The Infiniti caught fire, and the driver and a passenger in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
Six people were inside the Chevy, a pregnant woman and her five children. They were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
