News: Motorcyclist killed in accident on Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A man died after his motorcycle crashed on Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade County over the weekend.
According to NBC Miami, the accident occurred in the turnpike’s northbound lanes at about 5 a.m. Saturday. The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist fell off the bike near Northwest 199th Street at the exit to Hard Rock Stadium. He was then hit by several passing vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity was not immediately disclosed. The area of the turnpike near the crash scene was closed off to traffic before reopening about five hours later.
