37-year-old Alvaro Escalante died in the accident that took place on West Hillsboro Boulevard near Northeast 41st Avenue at about 10:23 p.m.
The sheriff’s office says Escalante was performing a wheelie with his Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle when he crashed into a Subaru WRX sedan driven by Marcio Nantes Vehara Filho. Filho was started to making a left turn onto Northeast 41st Avenue when the motorcycle hit the sedan’s driver’s side.
Escalante was thrown from the motorcycle and was later pronounced dead of his injuries at Broward Health North.
