News: Motorcyclist dies after collision with vehicle in Broward County
BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Authorities in Broward County are investigating a fatal collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle on Saturday night.
A report by WPEC identified the victim as 42-year-old Natalie Morales of Pompano Beach. The Broward Sheriff’s Office said she was riding a motorcycle south on North Federal Highway in Lighthouse Point at about 10:40 p.m. when she crashed into a Mini Cooper driven by 59-year-old Scott Berry. Investigators said Berry did not see the motorcycle as he prepared to make a turn onto Northeast 49th Street and the motorcycle struck the passenger side of his vehicle.
Morales was pronounced dead at Broward Health North. A passenger in the Mini Cooper, Delora Lusher, was hospitalized.
Investigators believe speeding may have contributed to the fatal accident.
