News: Motorcyclist dies after being struck by hit-and-run driver in Miami
MIAMI, FL – A 63-year-old motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run crash in Miami, according to a report by WPLG.
Rafael Romero passed away Friday morning at Jackson Memorial Hospital, his daughter Susana Romero said.
Romero was struck by a vehicle Wednesday in the area of LeJeune Road and Northwest 11th Street while he was riding his motorcycle to work. Miami police said the driver, 50-year-old Gil Maldonado of Pennsylvania, left the scene of the crash without stopping to help before returning later on.
Anyone who witnessed the incident was asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
