News: Motorcycle and SUV involved in fatal collision in Dania Beach
DANIA BEACH, FL – The Broward County Sheriff’s Office released information regarding an accident that killed a motorcyclist in Dania Beach last week.
The crash happened Thursday in the area of Griffin Road and Southwest 33rd Avenue. Investigators determined that 41-year-old Dante Brovilette was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Griffin Road when the driver of an eastbound Kia Sorrento made a turn and entered his path. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV and Brovillette was ejected from the bike. He was pronounced dead later at Memorial Regional Hospital.
The sheriff’s office said the driver of the Kia, 38-year-old Jonathan Ross Lubert of Homestead, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The fatal wreck remains under investigation.
