News: Motorcycle and pickup truck involved in fatal collision in Fort Pierce
FORT PIERCE, FL – Police in Fort Pierce were at the scene of a fatal collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.
According to WPTV, the accident took place in the area of Oleander Avenue and King Orange Drive sometime before 12:10 p.m. Police determined that the pickup truck driver was making a turn from Digiorgio Road onto Oleander Avenue when the vehicle collided with a southbound motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead after being taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. The victim’s identity was not immediately released. No details were released on the condition of the other driver.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
