News: Miami police search for driver in hit-and-run crash that killed bicyclist
MIAMI, FL – Miami-Dade police are investigating after a bicyclist was struck and killed Friday morning by a driver who fled the scene.
According to NBC Miami, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz hit the bicycle rider in the Southwest 10900 block of Sunset Drive shortly before 2 a.m. The cyclist, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he was a white man in his mid-30s, and he was reported to have been an employee of a nearby restaurant.
The driver left the area after the crash occurred, authorities said. The vehicle was believed to be a newer model Mercedes-Benz.
