News: Miami hit-and-run crash leaves elderly man critically injured
MIAMI, FL – Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Miami that left an elderly man critically injured, according to WPLG.
The incident happened Thursday morning as the victim was walking in the vicinity of West Flagler Street and Northwest 47th Avenue. Investigators said he was hit by a car at about 2 a.m., and the driver left the scene without stopping to help. No description of the car has been released.
The pedestrian was listed in critical condition after being taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Investigators shut down a portion of West Flagler Street to process the scene. Anyone with information regarding the crash was asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
