News: Miami-Dade police officer hospitalized following collision with SUV
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A crash in northwest Miami-Dade Thursday morning sent a Miami-Dade police officer to the hospital.
WPLG reports the incident happened as the officer was on a motorcycle heading to motor training in Miami Springs at about 7 a.m. According to police, the officer collided with an SUV that cut him off in the vicinity of Northwest 36th Street and Northwest 57th Avenue.
The officer, who is assigned to the Kendall District, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The other driver refused medical attention.
