News: Miami-Dade police car among 4 vehicles involved in Palmetto Expressway accident
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Traffic was backed up on the Palmetto Expressway Friday morning after an accident involving four vehicles, including a Miami-Dade police car.
WPLG reports the wreck occurred in the roadway’s southbound lanes near Northwest 25th Street in northwest Miami-Dade.
Police said a Miami-Dade police officer was on her way to work sometime before 7:30 a.m. when her vehicle was hit from behind. The impact caused the police car to hit a vehicle in front of her, and another vehicle was also involved.
No injuries were reported, but the police car sustained significant damage.
