News: Man, woman dead after car slams into tree in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, FL – Two people died in a car accident in Hollywood early Sunday morning, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
The crash occurred in the vicinity of Johnson Street and North 32 Avenue just after 3 a.m. Police said the driver of a sports car was headed west on Johnson Street when the car went off the road and slammed into a tree. The vehicle split in two, with the front end going through the fence of a home and the rear ending up in the road.
The two occupants of the car, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were not immediately released. No other injuries were reported.
Hollywood police are investigating the cause of the wreck.
