News: Man struck and killed by vehicle on State Road 7 in North Lauderdale
NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL – The Broward Sheriff’s Office said a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in unincorporated North Lauderdale last week.
The accident happened Wednesday night in the 1500 block of South State Road 7, where deputies and rescue crews responded shortly after 11 p.m.
An investigation showed that a pedestrian was crossing the roadway from west to east when he was hit by a northbound Honda Accord.
The victim, whose name was not released, was declared dead at Broward Health Medical Center. The driver, 31-year-old Sheldon Nelson of Lauderdale Lakes, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
